I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Jasad Heir by Sara Hashem is a beautifully written Egyptian-inspired fantasy story. There is some enemies to lover romance but that is a prolonged burn. I hope the romance theme gets more time to shine in the next book but I am happy with how it played out in this volume.
The character building is the highlight of the story for me, the characters are complex and there is a lot going on. You get to know the main characters well and even some of the minor characters. I wouldn't say the book ends with a cliffhanger but it does leave you wanting more and to continue the story.
