Everything's Coming Up Rosie by Courtney Walsh

4.0

The sweetest story about finding yourself and what it means to chase your dreams.

Rosie Waterman has been trying to make it as an actress in New York, but it's been one failed attempt after another.  When she finally gets an offer for a job, she takes it, even though it's temporary and as a part of the creative team.  But this job is...not what she's expected.

This was such a sweet read!  I loved Rosie and how fun and quirky she was.  As someone who enjoyed doing theater in high school, I really liked the theater aspects of the story.  And her journey to find joy and purpose in life was inspiring.

What really shined in this novel, though, were the side characters.  There were so many, and they were all a delight!  Arthur and Bertie were my favorites, with Dylan close behind.

Some of the microtropes:
⭐️ quirky side characters
⭐️ feisty old ladies
⭐️ dramatic, but loveable teen
⭐️ line dancing
⭐️ Friday questions that have to be answered truthfully
