Trans Allyship Workbook: Building Skills to Support Trans People in Our Lives by Davey Shlasko

informative slow-paced

5.0

Really solid above-101 level guide to unlearning cisheteronormative thinking and supporting trans inclusion.  As a gender studies instructor I've read quite a lot of texts that focus on allyship with trans communities and this is definitely one of the best.  I particularly appreciate Shlasko's attention to complexity: different people use the same identity terminology in very different ways, understand gender itself in vastly different ways, and want different things in an ally, and none of that feels oversimplified in this book.  Definitely recommend.
