Very cute and I like the idea of narrating the characters' D&D game. The writing is frustrating though, dialogue scenes are way too drawn out and there is too much overthinking and overexplaining on the page. I also couldn't stand Ollie or the chapters from her perspective; she was being ridiculous and awful and then acting like it was Harper's fault. Harper can do better tbh. I also found the discussions of political differences and the safety of being LGBTQ in a small down either disingenuous or misinformed at best (or maybe just way too idealistic?).
