Kacie and Nisha are best friends and they both live on Mercer Street where they love to spend their time, doodling and watching people in their community. But when Kacie goes away for the summer and comes back, Nisha is gone and the community seems to be changing. She begins to see changes in the local businesses and her own parents' struggles.
