A few years ago, after reading a few comics digitally, I finally found a local comic shop that didn't make me feel inferior when I walked in the door or in need of a shower when I left. On that first trip, one of my purchases was a mystery pack of a few issues of various titles, in hopes that I could find more series to read. As happens with those packs, most of them were forgettable, but the issue that grabbed me the most was a Fantastic Four annual. When I finished it, I eagerly went online to figure out where a good jumping-on point might be, only to learn that it had been a couple of years since there had been a FF series published. Today, my wait ends. And while it would be nice to jump right back into action, I suspect that the way we are easing into it slightly with this issue will help people like me, new to the FF, more quickly feel up to speed and ready to follow the adventures…
