Nothing Like the Movies
by Lynn Painter
Duuudeee I have such mixed feelings for this book. For one I love Wes and Liz with all my heart. This book broke me and I don’t exactly know why because they have a happy ending in the end. I really liked the college aspect and the new characters. I also love Lynn’s writing style so much and will definitely continue to read books by her. I found this book so sad though because ofcourse with what happens to Wes but also the fact that liz changed so much. It made me so sad to see that she was known as an anti romantic, because that used to be completely her thing and something’s different about Wes too. I just miss the old them and wish they hadn’t changed so much because of loss and eachother. I don’t know but it kind of gave me the message that you can’t get a happy ever after, or as happy as you can, without changing and that’s scary. I don’t know what to rate this book yet, it could be a five star or just as easily a two star. I am going to leave it open until I can think of a good rating for it. Bye bye
P.s. Have you ever had a book in a series you absolutely loved but just wish didn’t exist. The first time a book did this for me it was the 13th book of the rangers apprentice, in which you realize that one of my favorite characters died. I tried to just forget the boo, because every time I read the serie or though about it, all that would come to mind was that one death. In a way, nothing Iike the movies made me feel like that. I have no regrets in reading it, because I love Lynn painter and wanted to know what happened with Wes and liz. There is just a small part of me that wishes she didn’t write this book.
P.p.s I really still love Lynn painter, so I don’t want to make this seem as a hate review toward her. She is an amazing writer and makes great books. Also, I really would’ve loved this book, but I didn’t because the main characters were Wes and Liz, but they werent. They just felt off and not the characters that I fell in love with in better than the movies.
