This book was so bad IJBOL.

The dialogue was so CRIIINGEEEEE AND STILTED like you would have thought a 12 year old had written it?? Oh god it was so bad I wanted to cry. It was especially bad between Everly and her two friends.. it’s like this author didn’t have a best friend in real life, let alone TWO best friends. Just atrocious.

Also this author needs to go back to writing classes and learn to SHOW, not TELL. It was so bad good lord like for example: this author kept TELLING me that Shepherd was a cold ruthless motherfucker. OKAY THEN FUCKING SHOW IT???

Also Everly and Shepherd barely fucking TALKED. Not once did they have a scene where they just… talked to each other about each other. You would have thought with they way the plot was set up—with them living together under the same roof and slept in the same bed—there would have been pillow talk scenes where they just gradually opened up to each other. BUT NOOO. And there was ONE scene where they went on a dinner date, BUT THE FUCKING AUTHOR CHOSE TO FADE-TO-BLACK THEIR CONVERSATION DURING THE FUCKING DATE??? BRO ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS????
