Incredible read. The way the characters lives are woven together through time and adversity, each coming from different social classes with different experiences of privilege or marginalisation. A book about imperialism and oppression, but mostly about resistance, love and solidarity.

I was really afraid Jade was going to get a sad ending but I feel like she got the best one. I want her to be happy, diving in the sea with her baby.
