Magnolia Parks is pure drama and I mean that in the most Gossip Girl–adjacent way possible. From the moment I picked it up, intriguing cover and all, I knew I was in for something decadent and over the top. The story is filled with impossibly gorgeous people, everyone hopelessly in love with the main character and pages upon pages of brand-dropping that set the tone for its lavish, chaotic world.

At times, it felt like the characters blurred together, many of them seemed cut from the same cloth, but that didn’t stop it from being addictively entertaining. The drama is relentless, the emotions are messy and while it’s not the most original or nuanced story, it’s the kind of book you can’t put down once you’re in.

It’s crazy, dramatic and a little exhausting but also completely compelling. I’ll definitely be picking up the next installment to see where all the chaos goes.
