This was my first book by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen, and it certainly won’t be the last. Their writing style is perfect for keeping us hooked and delivered what was promised. If not a little too slowly for my taste.
For a thriller, I felt it partially lacked that page-turning feeling that makes thrillers one of the most addictive genre. While I was intrigued by the overall story and curious to discover all of our characters' secrets, I also often found myself bored by the repetitiveness and slowness of the plot.
The big reveal was pretty surprising to me though, and I enjoyed all the little twists we have throughout the book. This book has many subplots that all have a greater or lesser impact on the story, and none of them had a loose ending. Overall, The Golden Couple is a solid, head-spinning thriller that will keep your interest from cover to cover!
