A Court of Fire and Metal by Meg Xuemei X

4.0

The initial sex scenes were a bit overdone and kind of bland and boring in their intensity. The storyline doesn't really start until a good bit into the book. It was also frustrating that Cass seems to have, at least in the beginning of the book, become less intelligent and more whiny and childlike than we left her in the first book. She does come into her own though and with quite a flair. I have to say I wonder if she exudes pheromones that automatically make alpha type women hate her. Amber is sweet. The ending leaves quite the cliffhanger, and I look forward to reading the next book.
