This is my first Jodi Picoult since I read My Sister's Keeper in middle school. While I was able to mostly get past some of the more unbelievable parts of that book because I was a tween, this one was just a bit much for me. The whole plot was a bit ridiculous, not to mention hard to follow. The beginning introduced so many characters, some of whom were only vaguely relevant to the rest of the book. There were just so many things to follow that it took me a while to figure out who was who, who was related, how people knew each other, etc. Just not for me, but maybe some of Picoult's other books will be, who knows.
Graphic: Death, Emotional abuse, Self harm, Suicidal thoughts, Suicide, Blood, Suicide attempt
Moderate: Car accident, Injury/Injury detail
