The Office of Historical Corrections by Danielle Evans

4.0

Vivid stories that stay with you long after you've turned the last page. Ms. Evans has a way of revealing the details in her stories slowly. She doesn’t announce or Telegraph her moves but thrusts the reader in the middle of the character’s reality with no orientation. This, the reader must grope around a bit looking for the proper illumination to piece everything together. A memorable collection. The perfect end of year punctuation mark after reading Warmth of Other Suns and The Vanishing Half this summer.
