Stone bought a fixer upper and his new neighbour took a dislike to him which he didn't understand. So he gives him reason to dislike him. This was a hilarious and sad story line, but more so hilarious. The antics Stone gets up to 'annoy' his neighbour Dare, was just down right cruel, but also funny as fuck! I tip my hat in respect to Dare for not going off the rails with Stone because that man has tolerance and patience, even if he does have a past! The rent-a-zoo would have been the last straw for me, but when the goat does the unthinkable, I think I literally gasped. Dare starts out as a lonely, grumpy person and happy that way, until Stone comes into his life and turns it up side down.
Great character and easily read as it is with most of the author's books. I must admit, K.M. Neuhold has always been an automatic read for me and she never disappoints. She knows what I like
