I still don’t know how to review Jane Eyre because it was written in the 1800’s and had some problematic aspects (which is to be expected). I could go into a dissertation about all of those issues, but I won’t for the sake of brevity (reach out if you want to chat about it though).
So putting those things aside, I’d say it was a very readable classic. I really loved Jane as a character. Young Jane kind of reminded me of Anne Shirley which was really fun. And the story was definitely interesting, but it kind of lost me in the end so I knocked a star off for that.
Overall, if you’re looking for a classic to read, this one wasn’t too challenging and I found it quite interesting!

It was written in the 1800's so it is full of classism, racism and harmful stereotypes. I know this is a product of the time it was written, but I still found it quite jarring at times.
