Bound by Duty by Cora Reilly

While I liked the first book in the series, I liked this one a little more. I really like how the author wrote Valentina as an intelligent, somewhat logical and independent character. You never see her acting like a “silly girl” for the most part, except when it comes to her insecurities in love and relationships, which I think is really accurate to real life. Even then she is not afraid to defy Dante if something is really going against her morals, and that’s pretty cool.
