Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero

4.0

As someone who grew up obsessed with Scoody Doo, this was the perfect balance of nostalgia and the books that I read now. This is basically an "edgier" Scooby Doo story, but with different characters and roles. It involves magic, and resurrection, and monsters that aren't just a person in a mask. I was hooked the entire time. I think that (spoilers) having Nate have a seizure at some point would have uncovered some emotions/added to some of the suspense (as horrible as having one is), since it was brought up in a moment of suspense before being swept under the rug. But I loved the twists that continued until the last page and was enthralled the entire time.
