In a bid to save her failing restaurant, Amy has hired reality tv “star” Sophie Brunet as her head chef. Unfortunately, this hire doesn’t immediately turn everything around for the restaurant, and even worse, she might be falling in love with her head chef…

Meanwhile, Sophie has recently ended her engagement to TV producer, Paul, and has only recently realized that she is bisexual.

This was a cute little romance, but my favorite part was Sophie’s growth in confidence as she embraced a part of herself that had been hiding within her for the past 30 years.

But my favorite scene was probably when she came out to her mom. It was so sweet, and just so “mom”. 😂

If you enjoy contemporary romances, especially “kitchen romances” (is that a thing?) I’m sure you would enjoy this one. Sweet without too many high stakes. A perfect little palate cleanser to read between heavier reads.
