This Is Where We Talk Things Out by Caitlin Marceau

Some very relatable moments, coming from someone with a histrionic mother and cheerful father with a propensity towards not seeing the darker mom-daughter moments. The ending was unsatisfying though, and the layout of the cabin seemed to change a fair bit throughout the story. Given that it's a short book almost entirely held within that cabin, continuity with room locations is important.
