This was ok. Just ok. Not good or that bad.
I think my expectations of this book was just so high because of all the hype and positive reviews around it. I didn't love it. I wasn't a fan of the main characters and it was almost a DNF. But I appreciate a story in the villain's' point of view. It made for some pretty surprising moments.
Sydney's power of raising the dead was by far the best thing in the book. And I have to admit, I loved the ending - I saw it coming (Sydney bringing Victor back to life) but it was still so rewarding. Really good ending.
So, I'll probably read the rest of series and give it another rating later.
