Spy Hook by Len Deighton
4.0

Here we are at the beginning of the second trilogy dealing with Bernard Samson, who is back doing his usual thing of asking awkward questions - even when everyone else tells him to stop and as usual it lands him in all sorts of problems.

As with the previous Bernard Samson trilogy Len Deighton has written a book full of well rounded believable characters, that concentrates on plot lines rather than equipment. However, unlike his previous books which stand well as stand alone stories this one leaves you wanting more. There are loads of unanswered questions; its as though he thought the book was going to be far too long and has split it in two to make it a manageable length; or as it actually is its a beginning of a trilogy which should leave you wanting the next book to arrive on the doorstep.
