Invisible Planets is a great collection of science fiction short stories from Chinese writers who highlight their culture and their society in their works. It's not a mixed bag as you usually expect from anthologies. There are a few scattered here that were just plain or "meh" but most of them are great. Some of the notable titles include Tongtong's Summer, A City of Silence, Folding Beijing, Circle, and Taking Care of God—last two titles of which are from Cixin Liu, author of the Remembrance of Earth's Past series.

The book also features essays from the some of the writers which gives us a peak at their process and science fiction in China as a whole. I am disappointed, though, that these essays draw a comparison only between Chinese science fiction and Western science fiction...
