What a bummer. I was waiting to be shocked.....and then the book was over...and it never happened. Not only that, but I wouldn’t even consider this a thriller. It just made me frustrated and sad for the characters. Another reviewer said “family drama”. I agree.
I did enjoy the overall writing and the multiple perspective aspect. I’ll give it that much.
I probably wouldn’t be so disappointed but I’ve just read 2 other B.A. Paris books and loved them so much. I was expecting something along the same lines and that wasn’t what I got. So maybe I should blame my own expectations?
I’m just sad now.
