I like the stories that Garlic lives through; however, I love the first book more because it preserves and keeps the essence of Garlic as the vegetable "she" is. She maintains her sweetness and kindness, but at the end of this second book, that perception changes a bit—not in a bad way, but with a more human touch.
I really love the art in these books, the way the story explores anxiety and vulnerability, and how you can be a tiny but brave hero. There's really good world-building and a creative idea behind Garlic’s universe.
