I absolutely adored this book— like with all my heart. I devoured it in two days, a half of it each day. The characters were so incredibly endearing and i adored the unique plot of (I’d argue main) character Takagi’s show My American [amerikkkan] Wife! and how it moved everything along, allowing from commentary on everything from family life to ecology to bigotry to the pressure to be conservative and easily digestible. I loved its formatting too, and had no trouble reading it despite any brain fog I was experiencing !

I really just loved this book and it’s odd exploration of both amerikkkan and Japanese daily life with a healthy dose of hating on the meat industry and how fucked up it is. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who’s curious!
