paleflyer 's review for:
The Lost World
by Michael Crichton
The first book has the magic of the new discovery, and the second book has better story and characters. Quite enjoyed! In both books, I reached a point near the ends where I felt tired of the action, ready for the movie to be over (akin to when I fell asleep at the theater in John Wick 3...).
I've only seen 1/4 of the movie "The Lost World". I despised it before I read the book for its cheap thrills, and I despise it even more now for taking a book that would have made a great movie and hacking it into pieces. Sarah Harding? Actually a pretty badass woman in the book. The kids? Neither of them Malcolm's spawn, and surprisingly tolerable!
