Cinderwich by Cherie Priest
5.0
I loved every bit of this haunting (and haunted) novella, from the two sharp and salty women heading out to Cinderwich to investigate a decades-old death, to the witchy women of Cinderwich, to the chilling and creeping sense of horror and dread that snuck up on me as I was reading. This is Appalachian gothic with a bit of swagger and a dark, subtle sense of humour.
