God of Malice by Rina Kent

3.0

2.99 ✨️ Frankly, I didn't think I would like this based on the first few chapters, but it kind of grew on me. I don't mind the dubious consent exploration and as a dark romance lover, I like CNC and primal scenes, however, I think what happened on that cliff was bordering too close to assault (she was on the verge of suicide for fuck's sake). He's on the antisocial spectrum, so it also wasn't surprising that consent's not his strong suit; Killian toward the book's end was more digestible. And this is where we remind everyone that fictional standards don't apply to reality. The book piqued my interest in the series though!

Also, with all the hype surrounding Rina Kent, I was expecting the writing to be better. It was Wattpad-like, and while that's not a deterrent for me at all, I was slightly disappointed.
