The Senator's Wife by Liv Constantine
5.0

After a horrific tragedy Sloan Chase and Senator Whit Montgomery have both lost their spouses, this tragedy brought them closer and it’s now been two years and they have married. Whit was accused of infidelity by his former wife Peg, but Sloan has chosen to believe him since Peg had a drinking problem, she’s excited for their future together. Sloan has struggled with lupus and stress really affects her, lupus has affected her joints and she needs a hip surgery. Sloan loves to stay busy and she has her own charity, knowing that after she has her surgery she will need help, not only with her charity but with her health, she decides to hire a health aide. Athena seems perfect for the job and Sloan immediately hires her. After the surgery Sloan’s health immediately goes downhill, she can’t remember one day from the next, she becomes paranoid and begins to suspect Athena of possibly poisoning her, is she imagining the way Whit and Athena look at eachother? Sloan tries to get Whit to help but he says they have seen the doctor but she doesn’t remember going… someone in this house has an ulterior motive but who or is Sloan imagining everything? Is Sloan a victim or is something more sinister going on? I truly enjoyed this book, each character seemed to be hiding something and the book is told in multiple POV.
