She got dark! I really wish I could just forget about all mentions of sexuality in these books because it’s always right on the edge of being heinous. Ciri’s story in this book was so dark and violent and messed up and it was so good! Geralt’s part was kind of boring, and Yennefer felt kind of tossed in. The score raised so much from
the Ciri portions. I also don’t know what caused the author to jump around in the timeline so much. He has some weird obsession with jumping ahead in the story and then having some character recount what happened in the meantime. I feel like this did throw a lot of curveballs in this one - quite disorienting. But yeah, this is a good book if you wanna watch a teen girl get absolutely wrecked but then rise above while her adoptive parents flail about trying to find her with little success.
