The Day Shelley Woodhouse Woke Up by Laura Pearson

3.0

This was… fine? I didn’t love it, didn’t hate it. The concept was interesting and had a lot of potential. I mean, waking up to a totally different version of your life is always a fun hook, but I felt like the execution didn’t totally land for me. Shelley as a character was a bit hard to connect with at times, and some of the plot points felt a little too convenient or rushed.

That said, there were definitely moments that made me smile or think, and the writing had a nice flow. If you’re into stories about second chances and alternate realities, this could still be worth checking out. Just wasn’t a standout for me.
