The Fixer by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

3.0

I adore Jennifer Lynn Barnes. She is one of the few authors in the YA genre that is constantly doing something different. All her books have different themes, tones, ideas... It's always changing but it's always good. I can't remember off hand ever having been disappointed by something she's published and this is no different.

The plot is unique and keeps you engaged all the way through, although it does slow a bit in parts. Character voices are age appropriate (nothing drives me crazier than YA with teenagers who either talk like they're seven or like they're thirty seven) and relatable. Just an easy, enjoyable read with only minor believability issues to complain about.
