All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata

2.0

Cringy. Aurora's relationship with Rhodes made me uncomfortable. It's creepy. Aurora is depicted as immature, helpless and young. While Rhodes is depicted as this wise, big man/father like figure saves her from all her troubles. He's always "scooping her up" and putting her in his lap to comfort her. She's a grown woman and her reliance on him is cringy and his "parenting" her while being attracted to her is gross.
I'm over the woman needing a man to save her trope. The same thing happens over and over again, the story is repetitive and doesn't evolve much. Over and over, Aurora does something dangerous and cries and complains about how she hurt herself and Rhodes comes to her rescue, scolds her for being reckless and then carries her to bed. I rolled my eyes so many times reading this. 2 stars because I loved Amos' character and the descriptions of the Colorado wilderness. I usually love a light, romance novel but this was not it.
