I wasn't expecting the bang this book sent to my bones, my skin, my stomach, my eyes 😳😳😳. Lord, it's such a beautiful, meaningful read!
😍😍😍

The first realization I felt immediately I dropped the book is that I won't forget this story. Perhaps when I'm 90 or 130, when I've long forgotten the title of this book, I won't be sure I read this story in a book or the story actually really happened. He did it!! Very descriptive, he made me imagine every scene, every setting until it felt like a memory I had once lost came back to me. ..
..
Apart from the over description and translation of vernacular into English (I do not like when African writers translate African terminologies/words to English in their books. Like Man, google exists. Don't tell me the meaning of Daalu, Pele or Zo) I enjoyed this book, it made me reflect and ask questions I still haven't found answers to.
