Fatherland by Robert Harris

A murder mystery/thriller set in an alternate history where the Nazis won WWII. I was impressed at how well the alternate history and the story worked together. Murder mysteries can often take place in just about any setting, so I was afraid that the setting wouldn't have much to do with the story, but it turns out that the story and the setting are totally dependent on each other. The portrayal of a victorious Nazi Germany is very believable, with a good sense of paranoia and conformity and conspiracy. I thought this was a thoroughly enjoyable book. I listened to the audiobook, and liked the narrator.
