I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman

5.0

This book is emotional whiplash in the best way. It’s dark, dreary, heavy, but beautiful.
It tells the story of 40 women living in an underground bunker and what happens when they get their freedom back. Our narrator is the youngest who doesn’t remember life before the bunker and we get to discover the world through her eyes.
Badass women, dystopian landscapes, and what feels like an important novel. Would recommend to everyone.
