The Graves Are Walking by John Kelly

5.0

I listened to this book in the car and while doing stuff in the kitchen. It was so well done in my opinion, I had to have an actual book with pages for my permanent collection. The things about any historical piece, any, is that there is always a side that is seen as "better" or more righteous. Maybe it is because of my own opinions on the Irish potato famine or maybe it was because it was written in about as balanced a way as it could have been. Neither "side" seemed free of blame, though certainly innocents took the brunt of the consequences. In any case, for all the reading of done on the subject for research over the years, this was the easiest for me to understand. I can't say it was enjoyable read given the subject mater, but it was one of the best pieces I've read on it.
