My mother is a baby boomer who only created more debt for herself and taught me nothing about money except to spend beyond my means and avoid calls from bill collectors. So, I found this book very insightful in teaching me what kind of mentality works well for saving and investing. This book should be required reading in high school and college because we’re not all taught the same lessons about money.
Also, I can better understand why the U.S. is in the financial state we’re in nowadays, why my mother kept herself in debt (keeping up with the Joneses), and generally, where the slogan “Make America Great Again” comes from.
