Culturally Responsive Teaching and the Brain: Promoting Authentic Engagement and Rigor Among Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Students by Yvette Jackson, Zaretta Lynn Hammond

informative reflective medium-paced

3.0

We had to read this for work (I was supposed to have finished it during the 22/23 school year but I finished it during the 23 calendar year so it's fine). It was fine. Like all education based books/in services/classes a lot of it was very elementary focused and would not remotely work for high school. However, it did provide some excellent ideas on changing your mind frame and possible ways to change or update your teaching practices to better serve underprivileged and/or minority students.
