I thought I was gonna cry but I’m just so mad.
Their relationship was so toxic. They were absolutely not right for each other. He treated her like trash and she kept coming back and waiting on him? Absolutely not. No way.
He was struggling but most of his actions were due to his selfish character, and not his struggles. I disliked him from the beginning (which by the way was a terrible way to start a love story). Maybe if we’d had his pov, I could feel different about him.
And Piper… she had no drive and her personality became all about loving him. I wish she’d valued herself more.
I gave another chance to Carian Cole, but it turns out her books just aren’t for me.
