Thank you to Book Club Girl and William Morrow Books for the gifted copy in exchange for an honest review!

This one was not my cup of tea. I found the characters flat and boring, and I never got deep into the story where I really want to see what was going to happen next.

The plot isn’t well-fleshed out and a lot of it felt jumbled to me. A lot of the character interactions felt forced and didn’t add anything to the overall story. I didn’t get that anxious feeling that I love when reading a thriller. There are also multiple POVs, but the chapter titles don’t distinguish who is talking, so I found that a little annoying.

There is also a very bizarre throwaway line about bulimia that felt wildly inappropriate and misplaced.

As always, this is only my opinion and you should check other reviews and the synopsis to see if it’s a book you’d like.
