Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami

Did not finish book. Stopped at 35%.
I loved the beautiful writing of the book. Honestly, I wish I would've been able to push through but there were somethings I couldn't move past. I loved the metaphors and loved some of the lines in the book. I also liked the line between consciousness and a dream like state. But, the way murakami talks about women, the way kafka treated the women he knew, even when
he suspected them to be his family; he r*ped his 'sister' and had sex with his 'mother' who was well beyond his age.
I know it was part of the book but it wasn't something I (personally) could keep reading. There was also an explicit telling of animal abuse/cruelty.
