Well well well what do we have here? a late contestant to be my least favorite book of the year?

What a shit book. Poorly written, terrible characters, boring plot, wasted premise, incomprehensible sci-fi concepts, and only a single scene of dinosaurs despite them being on the cover of my version of the book! Mix in a nice dose of misogyny, a dash of homophobia, and far too much unironic Freud bullshit, and you have a real stinker of a book.

I really want to rate this lower out of spite, but honestly it wasn't the worst thing I've ever read. It was readable, coherent, it had some cool concepts, and it wasn't a literal hate screed. It also wasn't racist, which I mean look how low I'm setting the bar here.

Also, the time travel of this book had a whole kinda veil of years thing like VEILS OF AZLAROC did, which is one of those "if I had a nickle every time... I'd have two nickles..." meme sorta situations.
