Did not finish book. Stopped at 31%.

I just couldn’t get interested, which is a bummer since I enjoyed the first one a lot and had heard this one was even better. I can’t quite seem to puzzle out why anything is happening at 31% in, and I am not interested in (presumably) seeing these characters wind up together.
