The last two pages and the last line made my jaw drop. Specifically what Cecilia said about Jasmine. The extend to human cruelty under capitalism will truly exponentially grow and infect every one of us, even if we believe that we are good. There is so much commentary on capitalism, animal cruelty, government control, and propaganda. I am so blown away by this incredible book. I knew not to trust Marcos but I, naively, had hope in him to break the system he was operating within. Not only operating but profiting off of. Will be thinking about this for a long time…
