Wonderful book reminding us that love needs to be at the center of all we do. The only drawback was that it was a little too American and Christian focused for me- particularly near the end. bell hooks is a powerful writer - she provides a robust conversation on love, life, and the Uber-capitalist/patriarchal system in America that pulls us away from living a life full of love- of all kinds. The book could have explored more current days examples- both in America and beyond- that are living this alternative future we are meant to envision for ourselves, even if just in little ways.
