Like the first book I wasn't entirely fond with the language and I also found the storyline more predictable and maybe even a little bit boring than last time, but I'm really not a big fan of vampires in generall so that could be the reason for that. (I still love Ruthven,...)
I did start to like Varney and Greta more, they're still not my favourites, but it has become better. And Ruthven and Fass were still amazing and I really enjoyed most of the new characters a lot, especially Grisailles and Emily.
So, I really did enjoy this book and I think I found it slightely better than the first one, the storyline just wasn't my thing. I'm really looking forward to the third part.
