I really enjoyed this story. It had a little bit of everything, drama, romance, familial love and pain. I’m so happy Christopher and Lucy and Jack got such happy endings, it’s so rare in literature. You really fall in love with all the characters throughout the course of the book. Only critique is Lucy was kinda whiny at some points and acted so helpless/like a damsel in distress about her situation kinda (it was kinda unrealistic and I feel like it would’ve been better if she didn’t seems so helpless and was trying to change her situation a bit for herself when the miracle came) and Hugo is kinda annoying with his fake broading artist shtick like yes something bad happened to you (something bad happens to everyone) but you don’t have to be miserable forever like he made it his personality very obnoxious like being happy again is actually more brave then wallowing in misery, but they both have redeemable qualities.
