I devoured this book.
I was reading this in a readalong where it was only a few chapters a day, but I had the hardest time when I would need to put it down for that day.
The magic system and world in this story was so interesting and unique. It was easy to understand quickly which kept me from feeling lost at the start of the book. Some scenes in this book were so intense and stressful that just left me emotional. I also loved Vesper and Iz. They were my favorites by far. I wasn’t into Dalca too much and Cas did grow on me as that story went on. I will 1000% be picking up the sequel as soon as I’m able too. I gotta know what happens to my favs.
